Output design files

You can output embroidery designs in a variety of ways – by printing as worksheets, appliqué patterns, color sequence, or thread charts. The software also allows you to save your designs as images for use with fabric and garment applications. You can also send them directly to machine for stitching.

Use Output Design / Context > Send a Design to send the current design to your machine for stitching.

Use Context > Send to Link to send the current design to machine via propriety machine software.

Use Output Design / Context > Write to Card/USB to send a design to an external media drive.

The software supports various sets of machine model. Some machines can be connected by cable directly to your PC via the USB port. Older-style machines do not support direct connection but they do read ATA PC cards and/or USB memory sticks. For details of your particular machine, see Send designs to machine.

When working with designs that are larger than the available physical hoop, you can split them into parts, each containing an object or group of objects. The software automatically calculates which files are to be sent and shows you how they will look. See also Multi-hooping.
